alphabettispaghetti

Wendy, of alphabettispaghetti, comes to us from Italy via Britain. As a child, her nickname was magpie, for her love of shiny things. It was only a matter of time before this wonderful artist would turn that love into making her own shiny things.

Wendy's work is impeccable and full of detail. Whether it's an Apollo Butterfly necklace, with details of the wings, the reference to bark on a textured bangle, or the wonderful pattern on a hammered ring. The detail of a rutilated quartz peeks out from a silver bangle while Leaf cutter ants crawl along a leaf and poppies bask in the sun.

You can find more of Wendy's work in her Etsy Shop, daily happenings on her blog, and more photos on her flickr.

And having met Wendy, been shopping for supplies and tools and to museums with her - I can say that she's also an inspirational metalsmith to spend time with; her enthusiasm is very infectious. I love her work, as well...

Yay! I only spotted this today! I love hanging out with Sophie when I'm up in the UK. Talking about metal, laughing and eating... Perfect day ;-)
